Stan Chen is widely regarded as the best Gunsmith in the world with his full custom builds being impossible to obtain and commanding upwards of $40,000 in todays market.
Stan Chen Customs is now primarily focused on providing precision 1911 components, some of which are designed by Alex.
Stan Chen and Alex Zimmermann have joined forces to create something truly exceptional: the Talisman.
The Talisman is named after an object believed to possess magical powers, and in many ways, this custom pistol lives up to its name. The journey begins with a forged Guncrafter frame, which is then sent to Stan who personally applies his signature Progressive Traction Checkering™ (ProTrac™) and the installation of his Gen II mag-well. Each frame is meticulously machined by Stan himself, who personally places his Pistolsmith mark under the grip panel once his work is complete.
The frame is then returned to Guncrafter, where Alex and his skilled team spend approximately 100 hours completing the pistol. Many of the parts that make the Talisman exceptional are designed by Alex and made by Stan Chen Customs, ensuring a seamless integration of craftsmanship and innovation. The final result is a firearm that embodies unrivaled fit and finish, rivaling the best full-house custom builds in the world.
The Talisman is a study in elegance, simplicity, and timeless design.
